Why this matters now

Swiss data protection law puts transparency first: under the duty to inform (Art. 19 FADP), patients must be able to understand which of their data your practice processes and where it goes, on paper as much as online. The FDPIC has set this out in several documents: for patient forms in its fact sheet of 30 September 2025 („eine Anpassung der Formulare wo nötig“), and for what happens the moment someone merely visits your website, such as tracking, cookies or tag managers, in its fact sheet on online tracking (31 March 2026) and its guidance on cookies (6 October 2025). Both lead to the same question: is it visible and verifiable on your website what happens to your visitors' data? That is exactly where I come in.
